The United States Army has selected Anduril Industries to develop its new integrated command and control system against drones, adopting the Lattice software as the central platform for the IBCS-M program.

The initiative responds to the rise of large-scale aerial threats, which require rapid integration between sensors and interception systems so that a single operator can manage multiple targets simultaneously.

During tests at the Yuma Proving Grounds, Lattice integrated new equipment within a few hours and performed four real interceptions, demonstrating capabilities in automation, distributed tracking, and acceleration of the action chain. For the Army, this agility is essential in the face of rapidly evolving threats, making rigid and slow-to-update systems insufficient.

The adoption of IBCS-M is part of a broad modernization plan aimed at replacing older platforms with open and expandable architectures. Anduril states that its experience in autonomous systems places it in an ideal position to meet this demand, promising a unified command environment capable of reducing the time between detection and response and expanding troops’ situational awareness.
